Confusion About Best D810 RAW Processing

My past workflow has mostly been ACR to PS6 (CC2014 version) with a little work in Lightroom 5 or DXO Optics Pro.

When I upgraded to the D810, I downloaded the new Adobe Beta RAW, but I understand it has a lot of shortcomings.  I then read that NX-D is the way to go.  I downloaded that program but find it to be about as sophisticated and user-friendly as a hammer & chisel.

I just downloaded the Adobe DNG converter.  I would prefer to batch convert my NEF files to DNG then open in ACR.  Will this afford me the best potential image quality (until Adobe formally updates ACR)?

In other words, as a CC2014 Photoshop user, how can I maximize the image quality from my D810.
