Photojournalism and the x100s

For a while now, i guess already a year or so, i have been using the x100s extensively for personal and professional work.

Everything is superb of this little gem, its sensor, its noise handling, its actual handling, the looks, the viewfinder, the size and weight and ofcourse its lens.

One thing a photojournalists needs perhaps more than anything is speed and eventhough the S in the name stands for speed its not speedy by all mean.

It is slow, really slow compared to any budget DSLR. If you go to the pro range the difference gets even bigger.

Also, and this is perhaps the biggest concern, it is not really acurate. When shooting at F2, close range, little light, my D700 combined with a Sigma 35 1.4 shines as where this baby cries.

All and all this is a great camera for personal projects where you have time, want to be discrete and where "missed" shots can add up to atmosphere in the sense of out of focus images.

Just my two cents.
