Re: Full Frame future in small cameras and Cell Phones/Tablets

I never want to say never, but I'm pretty skeptical of this just because of the size of the lenses required. But there is a lot of promise in putting somewhat larger sensors in point-and-shoot cameras and smart phones. Just look at what the Sony RX100 can do with a 1" sensor and a mechanical retracting zoom lens. Granted, it's not a very long zoom, and putting a somewhat longer zoom makes for a much larger camera (the RX10), but the RX100 is a lot of camera in a small package. The newest version even has a pop-up EVF!
