Colorado's Maroon Bells

We had family visiting from Florida, so we brought them out to the Maroon Bells near Aspen. It was not a photography trip, so I just had the 18-55 lens on my XT1 and the shots were taken in high mid-day sun. Still, the valley is just spectacular and the shots I got are as good as the many other shots in my library from other cameras.

These are all processed from RAW in Iridient Developer using the new Fuiji Vivid profile and R-L Deconvolution for sharpening. They are finished in Lightroom with a touch of vibrance and clarity and exported to JPEG.

Minor gripe, I had to close out the sensor dust spot on each one. I got my camera back from Fuji with one prominent spot that still shows in Colorado blue skies.

If you haven't been to the Bells, try to get there some day. One of the most beautiful valleys on this planet.
