Does the Nikon Df "need" a Screen Protector?

Greetings everyone!

I'm new to the world of Nikon and am pretty excited as I just bought my first full frame Nikon, being the Df along with the new Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art just to get me started. (I'll add a couple photos for those of you who would like to see what the Sigma 50mm Art looks like with the Df.)

I'm wondering if a screen protector is needed for the Df?

Has anyone that has used or owned the Df experienced any scratches, scuffs, cracks, etc with the screen by not having it protected?

If you feel it is recommended to have a protector, which has worked the best for you for not only protecting the screen, but also for allowing the most light transmission, reduced glare or reflections, ease of installing, etc?

Thanks much for your help.
