No catagory 1 applies to you. "It can be a useful tool if you can benefit from it." Most people fit category 1, those who use it when it helpful and don't make a big deal about it. The cult category only applies to people who seem to be obsessed with talking about it.

Seems by starting this thread you fall mainly in the latter category then, a sort of anti-cultist.

I don't think of myself as that, but if I am is that a bad thing?

It is more than a bit hypocritical if you don't apply the label to yourself that you apply to others when doing the same thing you accuse others of doing.
