First shots with Sigma 50mm F1.4 ART on D800

Just got my Sigma 50mm f1.4 ART. It is the first lens I have owned that shows the true capability of the D800's 36meg sensor. The pictures shown were taken in RAW and converted to JPEGs without any processing.

The Sigma exceeds my expectations as not only is it extremely sharp wide open but it does a great job of rendering subtle differences in skin tone. I don't think some of the other posted shots have conveyed how sharp this lens can be wide open nor how  well it deals with skin tones.

What was also surprising is how heavy the lens feels for its size. On the D800 it feels heavier than my Nikon 24-70 F2.8 does .

For those who want the best look no further.
