Camera sling

I wanted a camera sling but wanted to keep the Arca Swiss(AS) quick release. I bought a small QR from Amazon for $15, and nylon webbing from a sporting goods store for $0.30 a foot, I already had the small key rings, the red snap ring(small carabiner) and the donor camera strap(Tamrac). I used nylon thread(the strongest I could find) and just made a loop at each end and another for the red ring. The red ring is attached to another loop that is actually stitched through the camera's strap eye on the left side and is there as safety backup in case the QR is released by accident/mistake. The QR's clamping knob is on the camera's front, under the lens, it fits just fine there. When the sling is being used it sits in the QR with its loop latched on the red ring. It is not as adjustable as the commercial units but it actually works really well. The only "single point of failure" is the donor camera strap.
