A nasty trap in D8XX cameras

I wondered why my iso was reset to 100 from 64 and auto iso was turned off today.  But I paid it no mind and simply reset them to 64 and ON.

What had happened is that I must have inadvertently pressed both the QUAL and the +/- buttons for 2 seconds.  (They have tiny green dots next to them)  When you do that it resets a number of settings in your shooting bank without warning.   Disastrously, that includes Quality, which is reset to jpg medium.

I love my D810, but why oh why is there not a warning, or at least a message after the fact?
