Nighttime shooting advice?

A close friend and fellow photographer invited me on a photo shoot here in the Colorado mountains. One of the things we plan on shooting are nighttime/ stars/ Milky Way images. I've never done this type of photography before and was hoping for some advice from experienced shooters.
My main body is my Oly E30 and I plan on using my 14-54mm 2.8 lens ( on my tripod). I also have the 18-180mm/ 70-300mm/ Bigma lenses as well.

Just curious what settings to use, and any other advice as well.

Thanks in advance,
