Thanks, good to know

as focus, composing and review (obviously) via Live View comprises about 75% of my D800 shooting. I have to put away the D800 about an hour or two after dawn unless I am willing to handhold and trust PDAF.

I know that a major concern for most is the resolution of the image in LV or Review though I have never found that to be a major stumbling block to acquiring a good focus. More bothersome to me as an outdoors shooter is the coatings and glare resistance of the LCD. If you can't see the image at all, what good is excellent resolution?

I did someoutdoortesting in bright sunlight and, TMHO, nothing has changed in that aspect...
But taking off the plastic LCD cover helps a lot...

LCD clarity in bright sunlight...
I did this test again with a second tripod and D810 LCD looks brighter/clearer in bright sunlight.

Kindest regards,
My former Dpreview profiles ( For which I do not have the Original email address anymore)
