My current equipment list:

  • Canon T3 with 18-55 & 55-250 kit lenses (which I'm looking to upgrade)
  • Canon 28 f2.8, 50 f1.8, 85 f1.8, Tamron 10-24 f3.5-4.5
  • Yongnuo 568EX II with 622C triggers

OK, I missed this information.  I don't know what versions of the kit lenses you have, but the later versions have gotten lots of compliments for their optical quality.  At intermediate apertures (say f5.6-f8), if you can't get sharp pictures from these, then the problem isn't with your lenses, and I doubt the upgrades you are considering will make much of a difference.  On the other hand, at more open apertures and at extremes of focal lengths, I would expect some improvements to be seen.  With an APS-C sensor camera, I think a 70-200 still works pretty well.  But I think APS-C plus a 24-70 just doesn't cover a versatile range of focal lengths (for me), and I would consider something more like the Canon 17-55 f2.8 zoom, or the Tamron or Sigma equivalents.
