I have tried wide angle conversion lenses throughout the years and so far haven't found one worth having. However, the indications I'm getting suggest that the Fuji WCL is such a lens and for about $300 brings a 22mm FOV to the DP1M. That's a pretty good pano.
Does this include the Ricoh GW-3? I had read some good things about using this with the DP1M.
The Ricoh GW-3 works well on the DP1M (The equivalent focal length is about 21mm):
Sigma DP1M with Ricoh GW-3 [retina display enabled]
(NOTE: the Ricoh GW-3 does NOT work well on the DP2M or on the DP3M!)
If you were to use it for panoramas, you should again use at least 30% overlap, to avoid
regions with strong chromatic aberration (since CA correction is never perfect), this would
get you 360 degrees with 9 photos.
