Maybe someone can enlighten me, but I don't get the practice of using this lens for portraiture. It is much longer than classic portrait focal lengths like 105 and 135mm, and completely takes the subject out of context. It is also huge and heavy, and incredibly expensive. I would have thought that an 85 1.4 or 105 DC could give you 99% of the same effect at a fraction of the cost.

I don't own any of these lenses, I just don't get the thing about the 200/2. I'm sure it renders fantastic images, but at the price it should!
