On days with thick cloud cover I tend to avoid wildlife shots since my Sigma 150-500mm is a rather slow lens. But I've recently purchased a Tamron 70-200 USD and decided to take it out for a run at my favorite marsh. Could it's f2.8 capability handle the darkness under a tree canopy on a gloomy day? Turns out it certainly can.

I know there are some guys here who can get bird close-ups at 200mm but I decided to stick with environmental shots. They all look dark and gloomy because it was that kind of day. The good news is that the f2.8 really opens up a new style of longer-range shooting for me.
