This feels like a very fine and delicate pen or pencil drawing to me.

And it looks like the bridge from Harry Potter's Hogwarts.

And you are right : this kind of HDR is not really everyone's taste. That's OK.

I think that the HDR treatment is partly why it resembles a drawing : a camera will (normally, i.e. when not in HDR) recognize brighter and darker parts in the image.  That is what creates depth (or helps create depth).  The artist's eye has more dynamic range and in his drawing he can compensate for shadows and overly bright patches
