Re: Image quality from Canon G1X MkII

I am currently torn between doing things directly in LR and using DPP first to convert to a TIFF file and then edit in LR. DPP has better lens distortion correction and better "Canon" colors. But it is worth the additonal effort only for the most delicate images. Below are some images converted to TIFF in DPP and then adjusted and resized in LR. Still waiting for DPP 4.0 to see if it improves quality. If someone wants to use DPP, it is important to note that one should not active any additional lens correction item over and above those which are already active at default. I also find the RGB sharpening less agressive than the RAW sharpening in DPP.
