The problem for the D610 is that everyone is paranoid about dust, so they will spend a disproportionate amount of time taking pictures of white walls and sky at f/22.

My suspicion is that the amount of dust people are up in arms about would be found in most DSLRs.

Agreed - I haven't seen a single credible example to suggest any issue from the D600 made its way over to the D610
