Which UV filter for F/2.8 lenses? B+W or Hoya or other?

Hi,

I have a sigma 17-50 f/2.8 and plan to purchase the tamron 70-200 f/2.8.

I figure I should get something to protect the lenses, but I want something that will have the least amount of image distortion/interference.

I see people say the B&W are better than Hoya (which are $20 cheaper each) but I see more complaints overall about the B+W filter (more smudging, thread issues, lens cap issues).

B+W 77mm XS-Pro UV MRC-Nano 010M Filter vs.

Hoya 77mm UV Haze NXT HMC Filter

Any recommendations?

Thanks!
