Testing double Tamron-F 1.4X TC's (4 imgs)

Hi folks,

This is just a test of the Pentax K-3 + two stacked Tamron-F 1.4X Pz_AF teleconverters + Sigma 300mm f/2.8 APO EX DG lens. The subjects were about 40 feet (12 meters) distance. The light was not all that great. IMO this combo worked pretty danged good. I would not have a problem in using this stacked teleconverter rig, especially in better light.

This would actually be 588mm f/5.6 shot at f/8.

Image #1 - The original. Looks like a young Western Kingbird to me.

Image #2 - A crop from the previous image.

Image #3 - The original. This is a Black-chinned hummingbird.
