400 v 600?

As I grow nearer to ordering the Tamy 150-600, I would like to ask, how great in real life shooting, [wildlife & birds,] is the difference between 400 v 600? I have a Sigma 120-400 OS, which I can use fairly effectively, but the extra reach of the Tamron sounds tempting, + it's a price I can afford. I don't want to hear percentages, but if anyone has photos shot at 400 & 600 preferably of the same scene, it would be very helpful. I will be using a 7D. TIA.
