All Pentax has to offer at the moment, guaranteed to cover the 35mm film sized sensor, are the ageing FA Ltds, DFA macros and the ancient FA50 f1.4. No FF zooms. FF IBIS needs may render even that short list useless. Given the very slow release of new lenses my guess is no FF any time soon. Seems to me all their larger sensor efforts lie with the 645 series.

And here lies the problem that many pentax shooters face, if anyone wants to go with a larger format they are stuck with a cost 2-3 times more of they went with a FF and not to mention completely changing all their lenses for this upgrade. Right now for Nikon and Canon you can run both FF and cropped bodies for under $3000 all the way up to $5000 for some very spectacular preforming camera bodies. Sure the 645z by all counts is a great camera but the gains over FF don’t justify the price tag for many.
