I like the way the GPS is implemented on the 6D. It's better than the external GP-E2 that I use on the 70D. The 6D allows you to export your log to the SD card. This is easier than the GP-E2 where you have to use the Canon map utility to get the file out of the device. This is great for people like me who use other GPS mapping software such as Topofusion. All you have to do is save the file which winds up in the misc folder on the SD card as a .txt or rename it to .txt. Topofusion opens the file right up and you can then run photofusion on it and drop your photos right onto the track. Topofusion is a more sophisticated mapping program than the Canon mapping utility which is pretty much just street.
