SH-1 - Changing Weather
My 20-year-old Casio watch had given up, and the spare no-name watch that Sandra gave me a couple of years ago has no dial light. So on a murky Monday morning I went to the city to get a new one.
Fergusson Wharf had the PARANA berthed there -
The watch shop I used to know was no longer there. The Warehouse had an el-cheapo with a large digital display and a dial light. On the way home I unpacked it. A small leaflet fell out. It defined '30 metre water resistant' to mean 'tolerates hand-washing and light splashing'. It survived four showers so far.
Two days later we have glorious weather. When I got to the water front, the sun had just risen -
Googling 'Casio Watch' gives me a model with 200m water resistance. When we have Sandra's rental apartment re-furbished and rented again, I may get that one. It is four times the price I paid on Monday.
