Re: Balancing act

Ive made no secret of my love at first site experience with my dp2m and I'm profoundly grateful to the Quattro for making the Merrill so cheap. It's a fantastic lens the output is incredible for pulling out every bit of texture and the camera is well screwed together.

But it is a pain to use. Today I was shooting blind in sunlight and exposure is all over the place etc etc. I'm ok with its flaws because I can adjust my expectations in advance but it makes perfect sense that reviewer would not be so generous. I've found the best way to think of the Merrill's is as a pocket medium format camera. It puts your expectation in the right place...

and  I still hate iPads.....;-)
