Stylus 720 SW Issue with LCD Screen Flashing
I need some help! My Olympus 720 SW camera is nice, but the battery drains super fast. I think the reason for part of it is when I turn the camera off, the LCD screen on the rear flashes blue like every 4-5 seconds over and over and over again. I have tried redoing the settings and everything else I can think of. Even replaced the battery.
Anyone else have this issue? What should I do?
I am guessing water got into it. Since this model is water resistant - if water got in, now it cannot get out. The seals may have sand in them, or they are perishing.
If it was salt water, you will have corrosion setting in, and the hopes for recovery will be slim.
If it was fresh water, the camera may be recoverable, but it is a discontinued model, announced in 2006. How good are you with a jeweller's set of screw drivers?
You may choose to look for a replacement.
