The best birding lens...?

Currently I'm using an old Canon FD 300 f4, and it works, but I'd like lighter, sharper, and native, AF capable glass.

If you had a choice which would you pick?:

Panny 100-300;

Pros- faster than Oly

Cons- bigger/bulkier, only tripod option is over $100 and special ordered from Germany, no teleconverter

Oly 75-300;

Pros- possible to mount 3rd party collar, smaller/slimmer

Cons- slower, still no telecon

Oly 50-20;

Pros-  excellent lens, not too  expensive used, great for sports too due to range, fast, has tripod collar and telecon option

Cons- second most expensive option, not technically native glass

Oly 300 4;

Pros- light/small, probably very sharp, tripod collar, (basically the upgrade I really want!)

Cons- not released yet, most expensive option, and no telecon option... that we know of...

Other suggestions, even for MF glass, definitely welcomed.
