RX100 III - Sweep Pano Question (lowest shutter speed?)
Can someone confirm if the shutter speed in sweep pano can drop down to about 1/60 sec in low light (like indoors)? Or is 1/500 sec the lowest it will go?
Sony integrates the sweep pano function with the optical stabilization on some of its cameras to allow for a minimum shutter speed of about 1/60sec. Other Sony cameras with sweep pano will only drop down to 1/500 sec, which works OK in daylight, but makes it more difficult to shoot sweep pano indoors.
The original RX100 would NOT go below 1/500 sec in sweep pano, whereas my NEX-5N with 18-55 kit lens can go as low as 1/60 sec. My 5-year old DSC-WX1 will also do sweep panos at 1/60sec
The minimum shutter speed of 1/500 sec for sweep pano on the original RX100 was discussed here:
