Oooo...them's fightin words for some. 35mm sensor cameras have a bit more dynamic range, produce sharper images, and have significantly less noise at all ISOs. As you point out that only matters when your images are being limited by those things and there's a price/weight trade off. Also quality lenses are more expensive, as the croppers have the very good 10-18 IS, 18-55 IS, and 55-250 IS lenses.
Side note, I've printed 20x16 ISO 1600 photos from the 7D with great results and 30x20 ISO 100 prints are quite good as well. But it's true that every 5D3 image I take is better than I could have gotten with the 7D. I think since a lot of people look at these things on displays and large TVs some of these things are more noticeable than in print.
