I could but I don't want to have to deal with purple blotches. I know because I used to own an SD15, worst camera I ever owned.

I think it's telling that you say the SD15 is the worst camera you've ever owned, when there are a few Sigma shooters that say the SD15 is the best camera they've ever owned. Interesting, how polarizing Foveon sensor cameras can be, isn't it?

No, they probably mean SD15 is the best Sigma camera they've ever owned. Any Bayer camera is better operationally, just not in final results.

Have you ever USED a Sony camera? They take nice images but the menu and controls I thought were awful (well, OK, the RX-7 anyway).

I would far rather use a Sigma DP and a QS menu.

All cameras are utterly awful compared to an iPhone though.

Yes, I owned an NEX 7 for a year and absolutely loved the EVF, especially all the info available. And the 11x mag made manual focus so much easier than using the SD15 with my 2x loupe. That's one of the main reasons I've never bought a DP series body, my eyes are old enough to require reading glasses in order to see the rear screen, a real PITA.
