I agree with that but it still needs improvements. Rendering of RAW edits is not good (delay) and showing some images with a red/pink cast is also an issue.

I don't believe its my computer as NX2 and View NX work well and quickly with none of those issues (as does PSE 10). If they are going to issue it for free then I will try it but the basics of displaying images correctly and showing edits without a delay needs to be improved - after all the free View NX already achieves that so clearly Nikon can do better with NX-D.

Hi,

I agree with the above. NX-D is still a Beta version, so it is to be expected there are some issues. Once version 1.0 comes out it problaby will be a "better" ViewNX2.

Interesting and needed to see ALL camera settings. That is why I use ViewNX2 ( and sometimes to do a very quick raw->jpg conversion after basic editing ).

But IMO we need better then this. We need to be able to do local adjustments on the RAW file, that is what the NX2 controlpoints are for.

I could live with a basic "free" NX-D with the possibility to buy addIns for extra features. But at the moment I am switching to LR5 and I am not willing to wait for xxxxx time untill it becomes clear what Nikon is going to do or not to do.... Nikon is to late and gives no clear information about what and why they are aiming at.
