Sorry, APS-C is better

For what it's worth, I do see a difference comparing my GX1 and EM-10 to my 'old' Canon 50D camera.  The 50D picture quality has a subtle certain something to it and a richness that is really nice to see on screen and in print.  Above 2500 ISO it all falls apart but up until then it's everything I could ask for.  And talk about a workhorse - fast, durable, hefty, accurate AF, built solid and I have never never ever had to wait for it to get out of it's own way - the thing is fast.  The only drawback to it is the weight and bulk of the 50D and a couple extra lenses in a bag.  That gets in the way of enjoying whatever I'm doing.  Do I really want to drag that around all day when I'm out with my daughter or girlfriend?  Going out with the express purpose of photography it's fine, but as something to grab some shots along the way it's overkill.

What I do give up in slight image quality with m4/3's I definitely make up for in size and weight.  The EM-10 arguably has 'cleaner' files than my 50D but I definitely wouldn't call it better.  I can only imagine modern APS sensors would show an even bigger difference in relation to my 50D but there is no way I'm paying up for yet another body and lens system.  Happy enough with it and that's good enough.
