I just got an nx1100 and want to shoot raw. I've tried darktable, rawtherapee and rawstudio but none will work for me.
Darktable loads the files, but the colors look like color negatives.
Rawtherapee only opened JPG files.
Rawstudio displayed the negative-like colors...same as darktable.
I've tried using the programs in both Linux mint 13 and 15 with the same results.
Has anyone had success with Linux and NX1100 raw files?
I did a search of the forum using - linux nx1100 and raw as search words and got no results.
Any help will be appreciated.
Hmm, I'm not sure of the state of the Mint repos, but like Hootsmon said, try using newer versions if there are any. I believe the Darktable Ubuntu Stable PPA should work well for you, you can find it and installation instructions here: https://launchpad.net/~pmjdebruijn/+archive/darktable-release as is indicated on darktable's install page here: http://www.darktable.org/install/
Despite what the release notes said I'm quite confident that it will work with NX1100 raws just fine. Raw Therapee I still don't have working properly with NX300 raws... though I'm not using the latest version yet the repo version in Ubuntu wasn't very old 4.0.11.0... I've been too busy to try the latest, though it's still on my to do list. Could be some other issue on my end rather than with Raw Therapee, but in any case it isn't working for me yet.
Actually, while writing this now I hopped on IRC and confirmed with the devs that NX1100 is indeed working in Darktable 1.4.2 ^_^.

They also pointed out this to me: http://darktable.org/redmine/issues/9839
I finally installed Ubuntu 12.04.2 and installed Rawtherapee 4.0.12.0 and so far have just tried a couple of raw files. The colors appear as they should (rather than the negative colors I got before) and it seems to work fine so far (I'm new at raw processing and still learning), so I'm happy with that.
^_^ Extra motivation for me to try that release! Still probably won't happen for a while though.
I'll try installing Darktable again. I tried raw studio with ubuntu, but still get wrong colors. I was almost ready to buy another camera to avoid having to use windows programs to process raw files.
Thanks for the input.
