The SX50 may still be the prime competition for wildlife photography despite its age (announced Sept. 2012) based on samples I've viewed. I like its combination of small size, sharp lens, proven OIS and articulated LCD. A nice selection here:

Of course, images are only as good as the photographer's skills, and Tony is clearly exceptional; I can only dream .

I am curious about the SP100 given its spotting scope which should result in more keepers, so please continue providing sample images. Must admit I'm a little hesitant about the length of its  lens (5.25" vs. SX50's 4.17" in closed position), but otherwise the camera's in the same ballpark as the SX50 and P600.  The over-sized FZ70 isn't in the running for me.
