XS1 for fireworks?
I’m attending an outdoor concert that will have a Fire Works finale.
I only want to take one camera as I’ll be in a crowded area and not in a position to handle a dslr+triupod+release etc. I’m also a bit concerned @ safety/theft .
I generally rely on d800 but in this situation the d800 stays at home.
My choices are:
D5100+ 17/70 or 24/105 (either/or lens, not both)
Oly Stylus 1
I have a wireless remote for the XS1 and d5100 and I ‘might’ be able to get back to my vehicle in time to place a bean bag on the roof and fire off some shots but I can’t rely on that and should expect that improvising will be the more realistic approach.
I’m inclined to take the XS1 but since I’ve never really put out any effort to shooting fireworks I’m not sure which of the above three choices might be best.
Stealth is a positive at the concert which strongly favors the Oly.
I’m looking for opinions and a short explanation as to you logic in choosing.
