It's possible, but I would be surprised if the Japanese manufacturer let spelling mistakes go on their labels; one of the most frequent mistakes Chinese counterfeiters make.

It's worth asking. Here in China, swapping out originals for counterfeit even in the factory supply chain does happen. Trucks are intercepted, swaps made, and retail ends up selling fakes whilst the criminals then sell the originals.

For peace of mind, I'd send the photo to Olympus. They can back-track if you have fakes and the serial numbers from your retail boxes.
