E-P5 front dial issue?

The front dial on my E-P5 is giving me fits. When I spin it to adjust exposure (I use it as exposure compensation in A mode), it does not always register with each click. For example, I will rotate the dial to drop exposure 1/3 stop, and nothing happens. I rotate it again, and the exposure drops. Then it might work for a while. Sometimes I can spin the dial several clicks before it actually does something.

Am I missing something? Is this normal behavior at any time? Can I only spin the dial very slowly for it to register?  I have worked hard to try to figure out if there is a pattern here, and therefore a solution. I cannot find a pattern yet.

Damn cameras. They are all too complicated any more. <half smile, half grimace>
