Do people not mind Fuji file sizes?

Here are a couple of file sizes:

You can see what camera the files are from the file name. Nikon files here are shot as 14 bit lossless compressed NEFs - if they were shot as 12-bit compressed NEFs they would be even smaller (20% or so). The D800E files are both ISO 4000, while the Fuji is at ISO 2500 and 720.

The 16MP Fuji XT-1 files are the same size as the 36MP D800E files NEFs and 75% larger than the 16MP Df and that is when the Nikon files are shot as 14 bit lossless compressed where no data is lost.

Processing times for Fuji X-T1 files are not noticeably different from D800E files as well.

What happens when they switch to a 24MP sensor - files as big as the new medium format 50MP Pentax 645?
