Just checked. the Cybershot HX400V contains both GBS and Wi Fi, so....... That's a $400 camera.

And we don't know if they will sell that camera in all markets or if it is a US / EU only market where GPS is not an issue. Where they want to do the SLTs for all markets that I have seen.  The flock low end cameras probably don't sell I all countries.  Like Canon didn't even put out the M2 in US.

You want to know what else is easily possible and affordable when Sony chooses to offer it?

In addition to the A55v and A77v, I have the HX5v and HX9v pocket cameras. The GPS implementation in those models actually surpasses what's found in the SLTs because those little cameras also contain additional capabilities (an adjustable compass in the HX5v, some other thing in the HX9v) so that directional data is recorded along with GPS data. Combining the recorded location, direction, and focal length data stored in EXIF with these two cameras, I have software that will show not only where a shot was taken, but also where the camera was pointed, and a projecting triangle representing the recorded field of view. Yet somehow, Sony didn't fit that feature into the SLTs.

My smart phone will compress my images to crap and post them to Facebook for me Somehow Sony didn't include that in the camera line for advanced and pro shooters.

The PS4 will let me kill aliens and watch movies.. the SLT has a joystick and a screen why didn't Sony give me a game to play while I am waiting for stuff worth shooting? at least MS Pac Man could be added in a firmware update.

And while we are at it.. why do I have to buy lenses for my SLT when the Cybershots come with a free lens attached?  What's up with that?.. Free lens, compass, GPS..and a whistle.. clearly Sony is ending the Alpha line and putting all the important photography features in cybershot..
