You are of course free to jump ship as you see fit. But personally, I think it's to Oly's credit that they have now provided a solution to a problem that is by no means specific to Olympus cameras. Seems to me that Olympus just ignored the problem for a long time because they figured that only a small minority of grumpy forum posters cared about it, but after the issue started popping up in official reviews such as the detailed demonstration of shutter shock on the dpreview E-P5 review, then they were finally forced to do something and they came up with this kludgy 0-second anti-shock work-around instead of what they should have been doing all along, which was to build real electronic first-curtain shutters into their cameras like other companies have been able to do.

And Olympus has only provided the the work-around to models that are still in-market. The older E-M5, despite being the big breakout hit for Olympus, is not getting a fix because it's being taken off the market soon and they want you to upgrade to an E-M1 so they make more money. (The fact that the E-P5 got the fix indicates that Olympus thinks that the E-P5 is the premier PEN model for at least the next year.)
