After reading and viewing so much posts and site's with this lens - I couldn't resist to buy it and try it. I have to weeks to decide to keep it or return it....

First impression: really fast focus, quiet and not to heavy compared to 85mm which I use a lot.

Some photo's taken this afternoon from my son and processed with LR 5.4/CC. Comments are welcome, I'm still learning :-)

Looks great! I really like the out of focus regions from the lens. I like the shots, especially the first.

Very nice photos - looks like the lens performed beautifully.

thank you. I have been missing that kind of field depth with my 18-55 kit lens. also, it is great lens for general use. atleast something that you can finally use with NX with significant picture quality improvement.

Thanks Eric, What I really like on the first shot is the skin tone from this lens. I also use a Fuji X100 quit a lot for that fact and trying to get the same toning with the NX lenses.

It's not the same yet, but I'm getting there...

That's true - but a very expensive one.

But for me the fast focus that comes with this lens is very welcome, especially taking photo's from a two years old son is a real challenge most of the time with the 85/60mm or Kit lens.

With this baby it's a breeze.

thank you with the report of AF. if it is faster than 18-55 kit lens, then I would love it a lot. I find 18-55 already fast but still can miss shots. also, I think Samsung needs to address better hardware or software. O/S and firmware. I struggle with camera freeze and delay.

He have you had a chance to try it in low light? Would definately like to know how it compares against the kit lens in that situation. I am thinking of pulling the trigger next week been on the ledge for quite some time. Anyone have any recommended outlets with added value?

Of course... tell me what you want. A static shot with handheld or tripod? or something outside the house? Sunset or something?

Just something regular handheld. I really liked your outdoor Park images. I've got a 1 year old who loves the outdoors.

Walking the dog in the evening in the fields and a photo of the table in the garden when it was raining... Hope this help you.

Those are some really nice shots. I just pulled the trigger and placed my order hopefully will be getting my lens next week. Thanks for taking the time the images are all great really enjoyed them.

Just received my cash-back for the 16-50 - £200 The Samsung offer is still running I believe. Trade in any old digital camera (must be working). I sent in an old Fuji that's been in a cupboard for years.

Hi there, Sorry but I missed this one, first time around. I like this set, especially the first. Your son looks to be of the correct age, to be a long suffereing model for your escapades with your cameras. Thanks for demonstrating the DOF of the lens and the bokeh. Very nice.
