When I use GPS on my phone the battery drains extremely fast so to be useful I have to keep it plugged into my car's power outlet. That is fact and objective.

Now as far as GPS on the A55, 65, and 77, all of which I own or have owned, I never noticed a significant difference in battery drain with GPS turned on but just in case I do leave it off as I don't find it particularly useful. Maybe if I was a World traveler I'd feel differently.

I travel a fair amount and I dont need the GPS but I guess it depends on the kind of world traveller you are. Unlike the other guy on this thread who wants to show off his campsites on google earth, I really don't need GPS to show off the location of pyramids, Mt.Fuji or some other travel destination.

Look at the picture, not the pixels

Misuse of the ability to do 100% pixel peeping is the bane of digital photography because it causes people to fret over inconsequential issues.

Focus on what you have, not on what you don't.

Yes, it is hard to mistake where you were with the Great Pyramids of Giza are in the background.

What, what if your inside one of the many temples or palaces (which have long since lost any roof they might have had and will have good GPS reception)?

Or, even just one of the lesser known pyramids, or which there are many along the Nile Valley, particularly in the Valley of the Kings (I'm guessing this was in Giza, based on the order of the slides, and Mom wearing the same pant, jacket and shirt, but I can really only guess)?
