Re: The myth of the battery hungry GPS once again!

So, Tom, explain something to me. (I'm serious, not being argumentative) I have an iPhone 5. I checked settings and see no options to turn GPS on or off, but, all my location sensitive apps work, (maps, Nilke Run) I can always "find my phone" and my wife can always "find my friend" so I assume it's on. Yet, I only recharge every 2-3 days. What's the deal?

Just for fun!
Jim

Its also always "on" in my phone. but its only used when needed i.e. when i turn on the map, camera whatever. And when i use these it starts draining lot more battery than it would do otherwise.

Focus on what you have, not on what you don't.
