If you decide in your final analysis to keep Release Lag-Time on Short be aware that this drains the battery more - about 50 shots more so have plenty of extra batteries if you're on a long shoot. Also it has been noted that this setting on the E-P5 causes additional overheating to both the battery and the card.

Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. But why would the "short" setting drain the battery more and increase the overheating?

That was reported at the biofos website here. Do a find for the word lag. The third 'lag' will bring you to that section.

So may this is NOT a good setting to use?

... images as sharp as we can get them. I almost always sharpen further in post even if I used a sharp lens and nailed the focus. I just like pictures that way (mostly).

If there is any additional overheating with my E-M1 (not sure there is) that will shorten its life, then I'm not sure the short setting is good to leave on continuously. The extra battery drain? I could live with that if I had to but only if the gain in sharpness is worth it. If the shutter lag is reduced another 1/100 of a second when set on short, the oscilloscope from CrisPhoto's tests may show a slight improvement, but does that translate to anything viewable on the monitor or in an A2 print?  Dunno.

As was pointed out by Veroman and others, a heavier lens/body seems to produce less shutter shock. I'm using the 12-40mm or a heavy MF telephoto + adapter for most of my shooting so I may not need the short setting on all the time.

I'm going to do my own pixel peeping tests to see if the setting is worth leaving on continuously.  I want to keep this E-M1 for a long time.  Love it!
