I'm seriously considering a Samsung nx camera (leaning toward an nx1100 at this point) and have noticed that the nx1000, 1100, and others seem to be often priced lower if they're white. I'm wondering about keeping it clean or maybe even what to use to change the color (probably a dumb idea). I really wanted a black camera. My wife asked why I didn't want a white camera and I realized I'm not absolutely sure why I don't want one, so I'm considering a white one (they're for sale everywhere I look, but black is harder to find).

I'd appreciate any pros or cons on the subject from owners or others who have or are considering a white bodied-camera (or why you're not considering a white camera).

I haven't owned what I'd call a "real" camera since the mid 70s, so I've spent the last few months learning about what is available and what's new. It's all changed so much but I'm beginning to understand the new basics.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I have a white NX1000 and I had similar thoughts before I bought it...

...however, at least now, I wonder why I had any doubts, because:

The white body is perceived by most as harmless, funny, nice, etc. and therefore a good choice for people photography...

My white camera was used during renovation works, with lots of dust and dirt - no problem, those things do not stick on the body.

I also feel, that it is better to have a white camera lying in the sun, than a black one...

...also, when taking night shots, it is easier to find in the dark.

I have to admit, that I had doubts during the unboxing and the first days,

but meanwhile I'm happy that I made this decision...

...not only because I guess that no one would steal a little, white plastic camera - no greed, no envy!
