Center of Attention - Sony a99
I'm guessing that was a pretty dark scene? I have been using the Minolta 35/1.4 on my a99 for such scenes. The Minolta gets great shots, but only in a narrow set of scenarios (the one you posted would not be one of them).
It was not that bad. The reason I used f/1.4 is for subject isolation, and to keep also the visual discernible within the environment. The 35mm focal length excels for environmental portraiture.
That's a very nice shot, although I usually like a 50mm better on a FF for street shooting. I find the 35mm ideal for APS-C. But that's my taste!
