True that DPP4 does not work with 5DII files?

I do not believe that Canon will stop supporting old CR2 files at some point. They may find that updating two different versions of DPP to keep up with the new OS would be too much for them; which means that they will eventually support all cameras with one DPP version. Of course, they may play the current game a bit longer.

As an example, the ZB seems to be retiring - not offered for the newest Mac OS, for example. Their new photo browser, forgot how they call it, is replacing it. Despite it being an inferior product in many respects. At some point, they had RAW conversion in both DPP and ZB but that changed, etc.
