Spyder4 Pro vs Spyder4 Express

I just purchased the Spyder 4 Express..

Was considering the the Pro version at first but thought that I won't need the extras:

- Multiple Monitors

- Upgradeable to Elite and for TV

- Ambient Light sensor

The only thing I'm hesitant about is the ambient sensor.. Is it a must have? I may have missed what its role actually is.

I understood it to regulate the Display's brightness according to the room's lighting conditions. But will I have to connect the Spyder sensor each time the lighting conditions change or would it suffice to save multiple lighting scenarios and switch between them on PC?

And I do the development of my photos in a room with a big window directly to my right.. Would it suffice to close the curtains and calibrate the display once for daylight and night time? I work with the photos more often at night..

If it was a mistake to pass on the ambient sensor I can still change the order..
