Monopod suggestions for Bird Photography

Hello All,

My current setup is Canon 60D, Canon EFS 15-85 Lens, EF 40mm, Benro Tripod.

For last 1 year, I have been doing bird photography by renting lenses. Following has been my usage:

http://500px.com/srinathpreddy

1. Canon 100-400mm : 60%

2. Canon 300 F2.8 + 2x TC : 15%

3. Canon 300 F4 + 1.4x TC : 15%

4. Sigma 150-500 : 10%

I have used these lenses with combination of 60D & 7D and 95% handheld shots.

For bird photography, we are always short of reach:-)

Henceforth planning for Canon 500mm lens for my bird photography (will be on rental) and considering weight of this lense, planning for a Monopod. Could you pl suggest.

One of them which i'm considering is http://www.manfrotto.com/fluid-video-monopod-w-head-561bhdv-1. Will this Fluid head be able to carry 500 F4?

What are your views and suggestions.

I will be making at-least 1 photo-tour in a month, it will involve small hiking & lots of walking:-) and my budget is $350.
