Sony DSC-RX1/R (King of the Cyber-Shots) Picture Thread:

Surreal stuff, Dave! Very nice!

Very nice. It's great to see, like you say, the versatility. Also that big sensor/low noise is a great boon for being able to mess with aperture in low light: You're not restricted to the shooting always wide open. Counting down the days til I pull the trigger.

Here, Here! Or is it hear, hear? I never know ;-)

Yes, very nice! Shows how capable it is in many guises :-)

I think this snapshop shows something very close to what I saw - very strange light just before some heavy showers. And this is a 50% crop... May not need it often, but a great for special occations.

Great angles, shapes and colours. It would appear that you've post processed nicely to reveal the underside character too.

Nice job!

Cars seem to show the RX1 off to great advantage - especially older ones, with lovely chrome and blending colours.

I am always amazed how this camera captures the colours in low light, and such low noise too. Almost surreal. Thanks for sharing that!

Hi Dave.

Curious artefacting around the leaves against the blue sky. Did you overlay a different sky?

Love this shot. An old favourite?

I spent a month on the Amalfi Coast in Italy last summer and the RX1 was my primary camera on the trip. Here are several from that. Sorry to include so many, but I find this area to be about the most beautiful I've seen anywhere and, thus, a lot of my favorite photos are from there. I wish I was going back this summer, but we're doing some pretty major work on our house, so we're gonna hang on the Jersey Shore instead... I'll be shooting there too, but I doubt much will compare to the Amalfi... These are all taken in and of Positano except the third to last, which is of my daughter and a bird in the town of Amalfi, and the last. The last two are the views from the two small apartments we rented - two weeks in Praiano (the last photo) and two weeks in Positano (the next to last) - we could see one from the other and you can see the other town in each of those last two photos on the far right in the distance...
